Sticky surface on poster "collects" pollution to "draw" the message

"The poster is blank with a clear sticky coating over the headline and artwork. Over time, dust and dirt particles from the street get stuck on the poster, gradually revealing the message. In doing so, we let polluted air speak for itself." What's revealed? The headline "Polluted air pollutes" and a visual of human lungs getting dirtier by the minute. January 2008 Gold winner of "Best Outdoor" at Ads of the World.

Choleena-
I would really like to know what "action" is taken, if any, or is this just for public awareness?

Good point. It got heavy press in Hong Kong. Where it's done by Friends of the Earth, I imagine it's goal is awareness.

Accidentally came across some info recently that's related to your question, Paul.

Friends of the Earth International http://www.foei.org/ is an activist group. "We are the world's largest grassroots environmental network. We campaign on today's most urgent environmental and social issues."

It looks like Hong Kong's branch isn't an official member of Friends of the Earth International. Not sure why.
