Tuesday Tooth Report
Later today I'll be going to the Orthodontist for my next visit. I suspect they'll be changing some of the brackets so that they can fine-tune the alignment. I don't want to speak too soon but I think we're on the home stretch!

Tiny House; Big Living
The Tumbleweed Tiny House Company has developed a home for people who want to live large in a small house. Simply because of it's size, you'll be able to save all kinds of money on the construction of it. Plus, you'll be reducing future costs of heating and electricity. Not to mention the high you'll get from your seriously-reduced impact on the environment.
Look at this cutie! The B-53 is 837 square feet. Its two levels gets you 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, dining room, kitchen, and living room with optional 3rd bedroom. All on a scale that works for that small-family trend these days. Check it out on SmallHouseStyle.com or go directly to the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company web site.

IEBGreen Challenge: Rechargeable Batteries
Rob said... "For things like kids toys, it's hard to beat rechargeable NiMh batteries. I run a small fleet of programmable robots for summer science camps and would guess I've avoided over 6 kilos of scrap batteries in the last few years."
Thanks so much for the suggestion, Rob. And, congratulations on saving the world from so many batteries!

Tuesday Tooth Report
Doubling up on the elastics has absolutely sped things up! So much so that my brackets are rubbing against fresh cheek that hasn't had time to toughen yet. Yowza!

Octopus Camouflage is Amazing!
This video is fantastic! You will not believe that there is an octopus in it. The transformation happens so fast the videographer plays it again in slow motion and reverse for you. The octopus not only changes colour, it changes texture. Enjoy!

Tuesday Tooth Report
I recently had my 4-month check-up at the Dentist (he insists on seeing me regularly while I'm going to the Orthodontist) and he was very pleased with the progress and how well I'm doing at keeping my teeth clean. I received a clean bill of health and a great tip -- doubling-up my elastics will speed up the process! I'll let you know next week how it goes.

IEBGreen Challenge: Re-use Batteries
anonymous said... "When the batteries in the kids' toys don't work anymore, I don't throw them out. A lot of times these games require a lot of juice in batteries, which means, there is actually plenty juice left for a less needy game or item. I use them in clocks, or little flashlights, something that requires much less power!"
Love it! Tried it and it's true! Keep the suggestions rolling in. Everything you contribute helps others get Greener.

Tuesday Tooth Report
Unfortunately I'm in a phase where teeth are out of alignment again which means that really crunchy foods are difficult to eat. Yay for mushy cereal!

The Longest Exposure Ever?
This photo is a 6-month exposure of the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, about 120 miles east of London, England. The shot was taken with a hand-made pinhole camera from December 17th, 2007 to June 21st, 2008. Each streak of light marks the path of the sun across the sky each day.
This photo was part of a project that photographer Justin Quinnell created to record various views of Bristol from the winter solstice to the summer solstice.
Justin was the pinhole photography consultant on the upcoming Rachel Weisz movie entitled "The Brothers Bloom" due to be released in October, 2009.
