Yesterday I received a new wire on the bottom jaw. It's a square wire, which they tell me is much stronger and will move teeth with more aggression than before. I felt the pressure immediately after they inserted it.
The top jaw received the same old wire on it -- they removed it, cleaned it, and reset it. (My top jaw has progressed faster than my bottom jaw due to fewer teeth needing straightening so it doesn't need a new wire yet.)
After the next 8 weeks, all teeth on both jaws should be aligned enough to begin the process of changing my bite. I've been forewarned that I will be wearing elastics on either my next or second-next visit.
See you next Tuesday!
